Why join this retreat?

We invite you to join us next summer for an amazing yoga retreat held in the heart of Umbria, in Italy. Get away from your busy routine to enjoy relaxing yet focused daily yoga sessions that will fit your yoga needs. Your accommodation will be at Casa Rosa, a lovely restored farmhouse in the National Park of Mount Subasio.  During the retreat you will have the opportunity to explore the quiet wooded hills and grassy glades surrounding the estate, take a dip in the pool while admiring the breathtaking views of Mount Subasio or go further afield and explore the historic medieval town of Assisi. You will go home not only feeling recharged but also inspired!

We have different practices to move and revive the body and mind as well as guided workshops for self-discovery. In addition to this, a highlight of the retreat is the food! The meals that are all prepared by local chefs using fresh fruit and vegetables and locally sourced ingredients.


About the instructor

Pauline Heng is an international certified E-RYT 200 & RYT 500 yoga teacher with 11 years of teaching experience in Asia, Europe and Middle East, and also a consultant in setting up yoga centers in the region.

She will bring her vast experience to guide the students through different yoga practices and workshops. Everyone will have a chance to explore and challenge themselves in a simple, logical and yet playful and supportive manner in order to stretch themselves beyond their perceived limitations.

The main differences between Yin & Yang yoga practice

The theory and practice of breathing in its many variations

The meridian systems that utilize elements of TCM through yoga poses and acupressure points

Practices:

During this retreat you will have two daily yoga classes with Pauline. You will experience extensive sessions of Hatha yoga, Flow/Vinyasa yoga, pranayama, meditation, Yin and restorative yoga during the evening.


A typical day

In this retreat, you will start your day with 90 minutes of meditation, pranayama and yoga practice classes. After your morning yoga and relaxation sessions, you will have your breakfast.

Workshops on different topics will be conducted after breakfast and right before lunch.

Some days we will have group discussions after lunch or alternatively outings or free time to relax/explore the estate.

Some evenings you will have another 90 minutes evening Yin/restorative class with meditation.

(Optional – After dinner, there will be 15-20 minutes of mantras with music and mudras.)
